About virtual servers

If a single tcConference room just isn't enough for your business model, then tcVirtualServer may be your solution.

tcVirtualServer allows you to create an unlimited number of tcConference rooms and manage all of them from within a single "Master Admin Panel". Each room created is a separate room with its own admin panel. This means you could lease your own tcConference rooms to other people or organizations.

The Master Admin Panel of your tcVirtualServer allows you to create, edit, or delete tcConference rooms.

For each room you create, you define the name, the owner, and the size (number of seats). You can enable and disable the room or set an expiration date after which the room will automatically become disabled. Each room you create automatically has its own "room admin panel" which you can provide to the room owner. In the room admin panel, the owner can modify things like the title, bitrate, homepage, enable/disable text chat, and so on.

There is no limit on the bandwidth of a virtual server and all rooms are available 24/7. tcVirtualServer size is limited only by the total number of "concurrent users". This is best explained in an example:

Let's say you have a 200-seat tcVirtualServer.

You can create an unlimited number of rooms and define any size to each room, so let's say you create 5 rooms like this:

Room 1: 200 seats (you can't make a room larger than your virtual server)
Room 2: 100 seats
Room 3: 100 seats
Room 4: 50 seats
Room 5: 50 seats

Now let's say that at any certain moment, the rooms contained the following number of users:

Room 1: 100
Room 2: 50
Room 3: 45

This means that there are only 5 seats left at this moment. If five people enter Room 1, then no more users would be able to enter any of the rooms. This is what is known as "over-subscribing" and is often done with telephone, which is why lines are sometimes not available to call during holidays or disasters.

The cost of a tcVirtualServer varies depending on the size of the server, but prices are always lower than $4/seat, making it more economical than renting several tcConference rooms.

You may also check into having a "managed server" or purchasing your own tcVirtualServer. Contact us so we can work with you to find the best solution for your needs.
